Your suppliers. Your markup. One click.
Import a supplier pricelist once, then insert priced items straight into any quote for the rest of the year.
Presets are your pricing memory. Import a supplier list, set a markup per trade, and CatchQuote turns cost into your selling price automatically. Next time you quote tiling or carpentry, the priced items are one click away.
Import a pricelist in seconds
Drop a CSV and we auto-detect the columns, including the trade and the supplier, so one file can populate many trades at once. New trades in the file are created for you.
Markup that does the maths
Set a default markup for each trade. Selling price is generated from cost, and you can override the markup on any single item when a job needs it.
Organised the way suppliers work
Items sit under trades like Tiling, Carpentry and Electrical, each of which can have several contractors. Filter by contractor and search within a trade to find a line fast.
Cost and selling price, kept apart
What the supplier charges you and what the client sees are two different numbers, and a pricelist holding only one of them is a pricelist you cannot quote from. Presets keep the cost, the markup and the resulting selling price on one row, so your margin is visible while you are choosing what to insert. Only the selling price reaches the document the client opens.
When a supplier puts prices up
Rates move every year and the difficult part has never been the new number. It is finding every place the old one was written down. Re-import the list, or edit the affected items, and selling prices recompute from your markup across the whole trade at once.
Questions
What file format do you accept?
CSV. If your list is in Excel, use Save As or Export to CSV, then drop it in.
Does changing markup update prices?
Yes. Selling prices recompute from cost and markup instantly.
Can I edit a preset later?
Yes, every item and its markup is editable, and you can delete or add trades.
How do I decide what markup to use?
Most firms here run one default per trade and override the occasional item. Carpentry and tiling usually carry a different margin from electrical, which is why the markup sits on the trade rather than across the whole list.
Can two suppliers have different prices for the same item?
Yes. A trade holds several contractors and you filter by contractor when inserting, so the same tile from two suppliers stays as two rows with two rates.
What if my columns are named differently?
The import detects Title, Item, Unit and Cost, and also Work or Trade and Supplier. A column it does not recognise is left alone rather than guessed at.
Do I need presets before I can quote?
No. Ten common Singapore trades are there from the start, and you can type rates directly into the quote builder without importing anything.
